The Problem of Getting Rich Quik ... part one Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 14 ratings

When you’re single and in need of hot love, both emotionally and physically, you think your options are limited. It’s just one glimmer of hope that could turn it all around, even if it involves falling back into bed with the trickiest bastard of them all, Richard Hayden-Quik, a man with a reputation of being a stud muffin on Viagra. It was only six years before Lily spotted Richard, a successful film director, her aim to get Rich Quik – seduced by his looks, charm and the size of his wallet. Even her best friend Dominic knows it won’t be easy especially as Richard’s super bitch PA, Rosana, will do anything to stop Lily getting to her boss. But she knows he’s a tricky bastard with a chequered past, a long term lover and a best friend who hates her guts. The road to her one true love is littered with female bodies and she’s not sure if she’s a match for a man who thinks monogamy is a type of wood. And she is the last one to realise he has an ulterior motive for being with her. Lily hopes she can get Richard though life’s sudden shocks, twist and turns have the greatest possibility of making her literally lose everything she loves… all due to the problem of getting Rich Quik.

About the Author

London born with a passion for film, television and reading. I was never a bookworm, always preferring to see the vision in front of my eyes rather than in my head.

But one day I realised the imagery and the stories needed to come out, so I sat there and wrote.

I'm not an overnight talent, not a secret creative genius. I let it all unfold and even surprised myself with what was going on in my head.

I want you to escape into the characters. Laugh, cry, love, hate, but mostly enjoy.

They're not your run of the mill situations. Some of the people are flawed, but they have one thing in common. To find happiness but it's never that easy.

There are twists and turns to keep you wondering what's going on. Even when I'm writing, I have no idea where the story is heading... but it is going somewhere, sometimes where I never planned or expected.

The situations unfold like a film in my head. I can see it and feel it, and then when I'm sure about it, I write.

All novels are in British English and translates perfectly for all!

I was absolutely blown away. I wasn't expecting much from a free book, as there are a LOT of bad ones in the lot of free ones. But this was excellent!! After finishing it I immediately went and bought the second book (I've finished it already and give it a 5 star as well)
I was able to lose myself in both books, which is not easily achieved. I loved the witty commentary and the relationships that were created. It also kept me on my toes with the twists and turns.
Only thing I would advise this author is to proof the work better as there were some grammatical issues that should have easily been caught and temporarily brought me out of the story.
Overall......JOB WELL DONE.
I'm looking forward to reading the additional books by this author that I just purchased.

Lily sees Richard and thinks he’s the most beautiful man in the world. He doesn’t recognize her. He thinks she’s all sorts of things, but a memorable woman isn’t one of them. Eventually they get to know one another and get married. And Richard isn’t ever upfront about much of anything. And this is par for the course throughout this entire book. I can honestly say with all certainty that I don’t like Rich Hayden-Quik. He’s a complete and utter jackass. And I like his friend John Bentley best. I dated a guy once with a friend like him. Luckily for me, I don’t handle drama well and I got out of dodge quickly. The next girl wasn’t so lucky…ANYWHO, back to the story…Yeah. I’m not keen on the heroine either, as she’s constantly taking him back even after knowing what a sod he is. Weak individuals irk me. And she’s not strong, she’s weak. However, I will say that toward the end of this book, she was much stronger. That’s large in part to a side character named Beau. So, at least she can be strong for someone, even if it isn’t for herself.

Ms. Mala is really good at making me dislike her characters. LAWL! But in the end, she’s always drawn me back in. Well, for the most part. There’s a part two to this book, that I’m about to jump into. I hope it makes me feel better than this first one did. I still like it better than the second part of Hatty HaHa, though. But not by a whole awful lot. Would I recommend this book? We’ll see how the second part turns out.

I really enjoyed reading The Problem of Getting Rich Quik ... part one. As it was entertaining, funny and even a little frustrating at times, when I had to put the book down, as I wanted to see how the next twist derived into action. A nice long read, with intriguing quirky characters, the story based on deception, betrayal, love, hate, infidelity, money, mystery, lust and sex.
Not recommended as a christian read or for a younger audience.

The book had a great story line. Just very repetitive which makes you lose some interest at times. But great story over all

I loved this book, i found it very funny in parts, but overall a unique love story. In real life I would not stand someone like Richard however he worked in the book. Poor Lily, she put up with so much, cant wait for part two.
